All information (including prices) provided on this website is subject to change without notice. Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before placing your order with us. By using the CAKEWALK CREATIONS service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to refuse the sale of goods or services or to cancel an order under certain circumstances.
Ingredients
At CAKEWALK CREATIONS we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and services.
All cakes, fillings and icings may contain, or come into contact with, soy, wheat, dairy, nuts or other allergens.
It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform us about any allergy concerns prior to the confirmation of the booking. It is the responsibility of the Customer to manage the information at their event.
Quotations
All Quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of issue.
Orders
CAKEWALK CREATIONS prefer at least 3 to 4 months notice for all orders, as we are continually booked in advance. However, we will where possible accept orders at short notice.
Any Products ordered from a photo taken from any other cake maker/website, can only be reproduced as our interpretation of that photo and will NOT be an exact replica.
Deposits
A deposit of 50% is required within seven (7) days of accepting the quotation to confirm the order and secure the booking date. All the work required to complete the order will commence only upon receipt of the deposit.
Unforeseen Circumstances
Where CAKEWALK CREATIONS has to cancel the booking due to illness or any other unforeseen circumstance that affects the ability to deliver the ordered Product, the deposit will be refunded within seven (7) days of notification to the Customer.
Confirmation Of Orders
Please ensure all contact details, personal information, spelling of names, design requirements, delivery & collection details and any requested changes have been properly documented on your cake confirmation. Notify CAKEWALK CREATIONS via Phone or Email immediately of any errors.
Final Balance Payments
The Full payment to compete the order is due 7 DAYS prior to delivery or pickup date. Delivery/pickup cannot be done unless the full amount has been received.
Pickups
It is the responsibility of the Customer to check the product at the premises and sign a release form. Once the item has left the premises, the Customer should ensure that products get to their destination safely and are stored as per our instructions to achieve good taste and quality.
If a third party will be collecting the cake on the customer’s behalf, a release form is to be signed by that person, stating the cake has been received in good condition at the time of pickup.
CAKEWALK CREATIONS are not liable for any damage, accident, or mishap that may occur once the cake is released from the care and custody of CAKEWALK CREATIONS.
Delivery
CAKEWALK CREATIONS offer delivery for certain destinations and the charges are at our discretion.
We ensure that our orders are always delivered safely and without compromising on the quality of the product. We are not liable for any damages after the product is delivered to the customer and change of hands has been completed. The customer shall store and care for the cake as per our instructions.
A delivery date and time will be agreed by both parties, and if the customer is not at the agreed location and time, and we are unable to contact the customer, the product will be transported back to our premises and it will be the customer’s responsibility to collect the product thereafter. In this case the delivery charges will not be refunded.
CAKEWALK CREATIONS are not liable for any damage, accident, or mishap that may occur once the cake is released from the care and custody of CAKEWALK CREATIONS.
The customer or any third party who will be collecting the cake on the customer’s behalf at the venue will be required to sign a release form stating the cake has been received in good condition.

Photographs
CAKEWALK CREATIONS reserves the right to take and use photographs of your cake(s) and desserts, before, during and after set up, to use for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes, without compensation to you.
Please be aware that all photographs taken of your cakes prior to delivery remain property of CAKEWALK CREATIONS
Hired Equipment
Cakes that require special stands or additional equipment to support, enhance the display or to store the cake can be hired from us.
A Refundable Bond amount will be invoiced along with charges for hiring the equipment. All equipment must be returned on the agreed date otherwise extra charges may be levied to cover hire costs. Any damages to equipment will incur a fee which will be applied to the bond amount to cover costs of repair or replacement.
Damage
If for some reason the cake has been damaged when it has left our premises (whilst in your care), then CAKEWALK CREATIONS take no responsibility. However, if you request an emergency call-out, CAKEWALK CREATIONS will endeavour to restore the cake to its original presentation, at an agreed call-out fee.
Cancellations/Refunds
Please be mindful, many hours go into the creation of a cake. Quite often the sugar/fondant work is created in advance.
If cancellation of the order is required, and you have paid your full balance, the refund policy is as follows:
If the cancellation is up to one (1) month in advance of your event date, you will receive a refund, less your initial deposit and the cost of any supplies already purchased for your cake.
If the cancellation is less than seven (7) days prior to your event, there will be absolutely no refunds given.
Postponment Policy
If, for any reason the event is required to be postponed, please contact us immediately.
The new date proposed will be subject to availability and schedule.
CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES DUE TO PANDEMIC OR UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
If you are currently booked with us and wish to reschedule your order due to a pandemic or any unforeseen circumstances, then CAKEWALK CREATIONS will try to accommodate this request depending on our schedule. If you are not able to do this, and wish to cancel completely, then you will be eligible for a credit note (no refund).
Storage
Fondant (the soft icing covering the cake) is not designed to be refrigerated and as such cakes with this icing should be stored in a cool dry place, preferable in the box they were supplied in. Refrigeration may cause colours to run/bleed. Please keep all cakes and figurines out of direct sunlight. Failure to store the cake correctly may result in colours fading, cracks or melting.
Viewing
The end of the week, when orders are being completed, is a very busy time in the studio. Please do not request images of cakes prior to pickup/delivery, CAKEWALK CREATIONS don’t offer this service. Thank you for your understanding,
Variation from Pictured Items
Please understand if a picture/image is supplied, then in some cases it may be necessary to change a colour or vary a product from the picture as certain items may be unavailable from time to time. CAKEWALK CREATIONS are not copy cat decorators, and can only try to replicate what we can, within our limits.
Where items are provided on cakes (plastic figures, toys or handmade sugared items) they are strictly provided as decorations on a cake, and it is advised that these are not consumed. Some figurines and decorations may contain wire or toothpicks which are dangerous if consumed.
Disclosure Of Information
CAKEWALK CREATIONS will not disclose any personal information such as your name, address, email or telephone number to any person outside of the company, unless the customer has authorised us to do so or unless required by law to disclose such information.
Furthermore, under no circumstances will CAKEWALK CREATIONS sell or receive payments or services for disclosing customer’s personal information to any partner or external company.
